To address this growing textile waste and emissions problem, Noosa Council has teamed up with BlockTexx to create a community event to give your old linen a second chance at life. On 16 November at The J parking lot in Noosa Heads, households and businesses can drop off their worn-out sheets, towels, pillowcases, table clothes, doona covers and linen that is no longer wanted or can no longer be used. Donated material will be converted into valuable, high-grade materials by BlockTexx - textile recovery facility that can be used by Australian manufacturers to create new products such as hydro-mulch, shopping baskets and geosynthetic fabrics.
RSVP to Facebook event here Saturday 16 November, 9am to 2pm, The J parking lot, 60 Noosa Heads Dr
