SOLAR IS A GREAT BUSINESS INVESTMENT
ZEN’s research shows that businesses which invest in solar regularly report the economic benefits it delivers. However, we also know that small business has little time to do the homework on the best options for them.
That’s why ZEN has collated 10 case studies of a range of Noosa businesses which have invested in solar. The case studies document the type of business, the system size, the payback period and the electricity savings for that business.

Peter Seghers talks passionately about how sustainability is core to the operation of Noosa Reds vine-ripened tomatoes by no use of pesticides and reducing fossil fuel use with solar panels, solar hot water and an electric vehicle used for deliveries
Bissell’s Paint and Panel installed 32kW of solar PV in their purpose built facility in 2016 and tripled the size of their PV system in March 2020 to further reduce electricity costs
SALT Solar no longer pays any electricity bills. It receives monthly cash credits from their electricity retailer.

At Marcus Beach the body corporate meters are connected to solar to provide power to the communal area covering the swimming pool during the day and offsetting the cost of night-time lighting
