In an enlightening discussion, inventor, engineer, author and visionary Dr Saul Griffith reveals the opportunities that await if we make the most of Australia's energy future and electrify everything; which is to replace our fossil fuel run machines with efficient, electric alternatives powered by renewable energy. Saul Griffith and his team at Rewiring Australia are on a mission to electrify everything to create an energy system that is fairer, cleaner and affordable for every Australian.

Saul will outline his research and visionary blueprint, painting an inspiring yet practical picture of empowered local communities acting collectively, and households being placed first in energy and climate policy.

Saul then will be joined by an esteemed panel of speakers for a lively discussion on our energy future, the role of Queensland and the importance of households.We are thrilled that on the panel with Saul will be:

  • Sam O'Connor: Shadow Minister for Environment and Great Barrier Reef, Science & Innovation

  • Brendan Mackey: A lead author of 2022 IPCC and Director of Griffith Climate Action Beacon, Griffith Uni.

  • Michelle Archard: Resident and owner within the Ecovillage at Currumbin Valley and Communications and Science specialist.

  • The discussion will be moderated by Dr Clare Burns from Bond University
